Finding Beauty

I remember looking at this flower thinking that the shape was so attractive especially with the contrasting shadows but it didn't gain any real special look photographically until I removed the colour.

The colour was a distraction. It drew the eye away from the texture. The real beauty.

Sometimes it would be nice if the world could have its colour turned off so that we can appreciate the beauty around us even more.
