Hot Chocolate

What is better on a cold snowy Spring day on vacation than a little hot chocolate.

The Great Explorers

There we were pretending to be explorers. Simon Fraser and David Thompson or someone like that. Crashing through the woods in search of the great waterfall.

We were more like those other noted explorers Abbott and Costello.

Double Crossed

Hitting the road. Again.

Not Quite Colette Amelia's Standards but . . .

I know she did it first and did it better but I thought I would post my imitation of the Colette Amelia shot.

Back Off.

They were having a tender moment and didn't want to be interrupted.

I Stared At Her

I lay there staring at her thinking "She is so beautiful. So sensuous. So intelligent." Then I heard a click and remembered that the camera was pointed at me with the self-timer on.

Life is A Highway

Life is a highway
I want to ride it all night long
If you're going my way
I want to drive it all night long

Kelowna Girl

Her shoes, pants, shirt and jacket are from Costco but only La Senza is good enough for her bra and thong.

Mystery Hole

It is Earth Day so Colette Amelia and I spent the day shooting pictures of . . . Mother Earth.

We found this mysterious home on the top of a mountain. It is very bizarre. It is like someone on the other side of the mountain was digging a railway tunnel and they broke through this side and said "Oh. poo."

Holidaying in the South

Drive hours and hours and hours south in search of sun. This is what we found. April 21st.

Winnie the Pooh

Meet Winston. Winnie for short. Winnie drags that guy behind him around Kelowna on walks. The guy has a bag of Winnie's poo.

Colette Amelia came up with Winnie the Poo. We laughed. Just a couple of kids.

The white specks that are visible are some of that Kelowna sunshine.

Sun City in the Spring

I love Kelowna in the springtime.
I love Kelowna in the fall.
I love Kelowna in the winter when it snows,
I love Kelowna in the summer when it snows.

Colour in Kelowna

Minutes after I shot this, it began to snow. Only for a few minutes but it was snow.

Photo Lessons

Colette Amelia giving me photographic advice. I just never listen so I never learn a thing.

The Parched Leaf

Water, water, every where,
And all the leaves did shrink;
Water, water, every where,
Nor any drop to drink

Burn Old Love Letters Unread

I sometimes think I need an island home "entire of itself."

I started going through old papers deciding which to toss and which to keep. The archaeological expedition into those buried memories is the ultimate sin against self. It is quite self destructed in a way.

30 year old memories only remind you that the world is not as it should be. 30 years ago I thought my world would be one way and it is almost the polar opposite.

Give me that home in isolation.

Three Stripes

Spring is lurking behind the snowbanks. A little colour rears its beautiful head at Colette Amelia's house.

Pussies With Heart

This is my spring shot. A couple of gals catching some rays in the window during a very brief bit of sunlight.

Oh, Er, Um, Excuse Me, Miss

Excuse me, young lady, I know the weather is much warmer but I think you left your winter underwear laying in the parking lot.

Two Fish Kissing

The snow is slowly melting away. Thoughts of hitting the road for a nice loooong vacation from whatever it is that I do has invaded my brain.

Monday, April 07, 2008

Oh, Excuse Me, Miss

Excuse me, young lady, but I think you left your gloves hanging in that tree.

Sunday, April 06, 2008

Oh, Miss

Excuse me, young lady, but I think you left your panties hanging in that tree.

Pushing the Trucks

Pushing the trucks back under the locomotive. I would like to help but I don't want to get my camera dirty.

Tree of Love

I guess the tree is in love but I think it is unrequited.

Tears

If flowers rose well teardrops fell, the world would be covered with blooms.

Where is Jeeves?

How long is one expected to stand waiting for his man-servant to arrive? I want to place myself in the comfortable rear seating compartment but Jeeves in not present to move the door from its present closed position into a more convenient open position.

Please tell me, what should I do?

My Story

My photo

I got my first camera, a Canon Ft QL, in 1974. It was supplemented by a Canon F1 in 1976 so that I could have a camera for black and white and one for colour.

I still have those beauties but now they have eased into retirement. They relax on my shelf beside many other old beauties.

Now I use a Canon 5D MK II. How convenient to use one camera for both colour and black and white.
