Snowy Sanctuary
It is Saturday so I guess the steps don't need to be cleared of snow. I don't see the sanctuary knocker so they don't have to worry about some wayward soul seeking refuge.
I remember seeing the wonderful knocker at Durham Cathedral. You just had to touch the knocker to get sanctuary.

This is stunning. Good choice, shooting this when there was no color in the sky. This has to be one of my favorites. This and the
"watercolor" car and the old tractor.
I have often wondered, is someone there, at all times to welcome people, someone seeking sanctuary? Do they leave the churches, temples, etc. open and unattended?
Do you know? You didn't plod through the unshoveled snow to find out, I guess. You should sacrafice having wet pant legs to satisfy my curiousity.
