If I was to toss away unwanted underwear, I don't think I would leave it hanging on a fence for the world to see. Who tossed it? Why here? When dressing in the morning did the person plan to return homewith less clothing.
On second thought - I have some Bugs Bunny Boxers that are a few sizes too big. Maybe this is a swap fence.

do you just walk around and take pictures of what you see? is that the way art should be? or should it be that thing that catches your eye and you think 'shit where's my camera?'. that's what usually happens to me. i like to take the picture to sketch it later.
o and by the way in your post 'what is art' i think you're suffering from a bit of post-modernism doubt.
I like to have my camera with me. I look for the beauty that lurks in unusual places waiting to be found. It is kind of hard to explain but I think there is something beautiful in everything thing and everybody.
As to 'what is art' I guess it depends on the day. Some days it is post-mdernism doubt and other days it is neo-pre-post-modern angst :-)
