That stink machine probably means jobs for people, though.

We had a stink machine of the hightest proportions here ever since the second world war. A steel plant. When it finally closed I cheered until I realized that three men in our ward were now out of work and their families were hurting and did for a long time. Two families have never totally recovered.

What we need to do is figure out how to make the stink go away and keep the jobs.
