You have to wonder . . .


People do jobs (firemen for example) knowing that there is an excllent chance that they will die on the job or suffer disaterous side-effects from performing that job. It is basically a thankless job that nobody notices until there is a personal interaction. Cops are writing speeding tickets when they should be solving crime. Or the ambulance took forever to arrive. Firemen sit around doing nothing all day and only work when there is a fire. Crap like that gets said all the time.

Why do people say those things?
