You have to looks at a lot of rocks to find a really nice one. Hey, I guess rocks are like people. 

A Question

Questions are good. Sometimes there is an answer. Sometimes this is no answer.
Sometimes the question merely raises more questions like "Who wrote it?" and "Why?" 

Death - A Tribute

Death is a funny thing. Here one day gone the next. Pine trees. Animals. People. Even buildings.
The Yellowhead Inn was an unattractive building that just - well, just was. It was always there.
Until that day when it wan't. Fire. Death. Gone forever. Ignored when it was still here. Missed now that it isn't. 

What a Lovely Bunch of Flowers

Makes a guy feel proud to be human. What other species would hang flowers from such an ugly wall?

Stark. Bleak.

A stark and bleak photo of black and white tile in a dark corner. It fit my mood perfectly at the time. I was feeling very much like the ultimate outsider and went off alone for a walk thinking that I should be in a Camus novel. Or Kafka. Came upon this darkened corner. I felt as if I had arrived at my spot in the world.

Tears

Walking down a street and seeing a poster for yet another missing woman reminded me of this shot of a poster lying beside the Yellowhead Highway.
Such a nice smile. So sad.

Hope

This is hope. Looking to the future.

Looking at an old favourite

Sometimes you look at something from the past and wonder how you managed to see something that so many others missed. Or ignored.
Or imagine that some kind public minded soul had picked it up and thrown it into the trash. I would have lost the opportunity to find this picture.

Ekim's Journey - A New Beginnning

Today is the first day of my new Blog. I am going to try to do a daily entry but we all know how difficult that can be. The best thing is that if I post a daily photo, I don't need to do so much writing. That is what takes work.
Some of the photos may be re-hashed ones from my web site but what the hell. I can do what I want.
This National Flexo-4 boxlid made me think of one thing. You can improve technology but that does not mean that you have improved the world. Why I think that may puzzle you but it is clear to me.
