Not Forgotten
How long can someone be remembered? I find it quite fascinating to see a grave that is many decades old and still receives visits and the requisite flowers. It makes me wonder if there is some family memory that just refuses to die.
A beautiful image. Here in the Provo City Cemetary we once found an old, old grave with our family name on it. My Aunt Dee had told me her uncle was "over there by the fence" so we looked and there he was. He had been dead for about...now I don't remember, longer than anyone could be alive to remember him, and there was a bouquet of flowers. From? I'll never know.
I can only hope these memories last generations. My grandmother's funeral is this morning in Ontario. i couldn't attend but my son is there. Fabulous photo, Michael.
I love, love, LOVE this picture. But then, I would.
