Claws

Went to the 1860s Gold Mining town of Barkerville yesterday. On the way we saw many deer, a moose, and a couple of black bears.

This bear track shows the claws and you can see the imprint from the fur along the edges.

    Nice trip.

I wonder, how big the track is.

  2. The track is about 6 inches across at the palm. Not huge.

Realmente es una imagen impresionante, sobre todo si te imaginas lo grande que debĂa ser ese oso. Pudiste ver al animal?

It is really an impressive image, mainly if you imagine the great thing that it had to be that bear. You could see the animal?

  8. I had two companions with me and the first rule of bear tracking is to have a companion. If the bear gets interested, you kick your companions in the knee so they lay on the ground screaming then run like hell :-)

  9. Your comment to the comments made me laugh. Honestly, that bear track is an impressive shot, amazing detail. Makes me wonder if he was waiting around the nearest tree, watching you.
