Hope

Hope springs from the cold cold ground.

Today I looked at photographs of dead people. Dead children. Why? Because, if you will pardon the expression, I needed a kick in the balls. A reminder that the entire world is not the paradise that I live in.

I felt helpless but I am not. I can help a little. Feeling helpless and choosing to be helpless are two different things.

I went to a website that is filled with hope. It showed how very little can be used to do so much.

I gave a little money and will try to remember to make it a regular activity.

Truth

The year is rapidly drawing to an end and the new year with all of its promise will be upon us.
Why do we make New Year's Resolutions? Why not Birthday resolutions because that is the real for true New Year's Day for each of us.

Something is Amiss

I am having mental strife. The old 'puter seems to be acting like a food processor and churning some of my photo files like they are so many vegetables ready for the soup pot.
This soup is interesting to look at but not very palatable. I am afraid to try to open anything decent right now in case the processor hits puree.

Number 7

Do you think Tim Horton ever dreamed that his name would be placed with McDonald's as one of the leading litters of Canada? I am sure he would be so proud.

The Eyes Have It

Is there a reason why all creatures are born with disproportionately large eyes?

Don't you just want to keep this Thomas?

How Does He Do That?

This bull seems to be going in two directions at once. Or his head is coming out of his side.
I shot that in 1981 at the Williams Lake Stampede.

I just didn't understand what kind of Animal Care Hospital that could be.

Canadian Politics

Head Clown, Stephen Harper, has taken the circus to new levels. You have to laugh at the way he can lie and expect no-one will notice.

On second thought, it isn't that funny.

I wondered if shooting a photograph would be considered to be play.
